There are two types of colleges in Germany: Public Colleges and Private Colleges.
Public Colleges are relatively cheaper or do not charge any Tuition Fee whereas Private Colleges are expensive and charge high.
Most of the Public Colleges in Germany offer classes in German Languages only. There is less chance of public colleges offering English classes in German. However, private colleges do offer English classes.
But, it is highly recommended that you learn some basics of the German to make your stay easy and comfortable in German.

1. Choose a Program
Choosing a Program of your interest is the first step in applying for a study visa in Germany. Choose a program according to your interest and search how many Universities/Colleges are offering the same program.

2. Language Requirements for Studying in Germany from Nepal

4. Apply for Admission

5. Receive Offer Letter
After the application is submitted you will get an Offer Letter from the chosen College/University. Check the details carefully if everything written is right or not and if it needs any correction.
6. Visa Application
You can apply for a student visa at the German Embassy or Consulate in Nepal near your place. You will need your Acceptance Letter, Proof of Financial Means, and Health Insurance.
7. Apply for Appointment
You have to schedule an appointment weeks earlier than a selected Interview time. For Nepali students, you can apply for the interview in your own home country Nepal or India as well.
8. Interview
The last step to be prepared for is the Interview. You should reach out to the Interview place half an hour earlier. So that you won’t be late for the interview. You should present all of your documents while attending the Interview. Make sure to manage all documents properly.
9. German Student Fee Payment
After the verification of your application, the German Consulate will have a record of your information. Then, you have to pay € 75 and you will receive a token for collecting your application.
10. Biometrics
10-digit fingerprint is scanned through the Digital Fingerprint Scanner.
At last, they will proceed with your information and ask if anything is missing.
11. Health Insurance
You should have health insurance that meets German requirements. This is mandatory for all international students.
12. Blocked Account
This account is maintained to deposit your living expenses in German. It should contain a sufficient amount of money to make your stay better in Germany.
