Step by Step Guides to apply Koran Student Visa from Nepal

1. Types of Visa

There are two types of student Visa to apply for Korea. They are D2 Visa and D4 Visa. Below are the differnces between D2 or D4 Visa.

3. Intakes to study Korea for Nepali Students

4. Documents Required

You will get the detailed information about Documents Required from below...

I. Passport Documents:

  • Birth Certificates
  • Recent passport-size photo
  • Original passport and photocopy
  • Marriage certificate
  • Family relationship certificate

II. Medical Report on Tuberculosis from designated hospitals:

  • Patan Hospital, Patan
  • Civil Service Hospital, Newbaneshor
  • Korea Nepal Friendship Hospital (Korea Thimi Hospital), Bhaktapur
  • Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku

Note: You can have Mediacal Checkup in any of the Hospitals mentioned as per your convinience.

III. Educational Certificates:

  • School documents and certificates (Verified by Specific Board of Examination. eg: NEB, HSEB)
  • School documents and certificates (Verified by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal)
  • Secondary-level education transcripts and character certificate (originals and photocopies)
  • Higher secondary-level education transcripts (XI, XII) and character certificate (originals and photocopies)
  • University and final education levelsā€™ transcripts (master or doctoral degrees) and character certificates (originals and photocopies)

IV. Financial Documents:

  • Family asset evaluation certificate (certified by a chartered accountant with supporting documents, originals and photocopies)
  • Bank statement for the last 6 months (accepted only from A level bank)
  • TAX Clearance Certificates

Additional Document (may Required):

This might be asked if you have additional information to be provided to the Embassy. It is not mandatory.

  • Business registration certificate
  • Permanent Account Number (PAN) registration certificate

5. Embassy Date Book

We advised you to book the Korean Embassy Appointment earlier. Emabssy will take 2 weeks or more days to verify whether you meet all the criteria as per the requirement of University or not. You will get a call or email after the verification is complete.

6. Submit the document to the University

You can apply directly to the Korean Universities through online transfer of related documents. Otherwise, you can provide all the required documents to your concerned Consultancy to transfer to the Korean Universities.

7. COA or Offer Letter

If you meet all the criteria like required academic marks, score in English Proficiency Test, and so on then you will get an Offer Letter or COA from the University of Korea indicating that you have been accepted by the selected University.

8. Interview Date

After receiving Offer Letter, schedule the date for an interview. Your interview will be taken by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal.

9. Apply for a Student Visa:

Now, you can use the COA or Offer Letter to apply for a student visa (D-2) at the Korean embassy or consulate in Nepal. You may need to provide additional documents, such as a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) issued by Korean immigration authorities as well.

10. Health Examination:

Some universities may require a health examination. Ensure you fulfill any health-related requirements specified by the university or immigration authorities.

11. Arrival in Korea:

12. Orientation and Registration:
